How to make lavender lemonade to eliminate headache

If the next time you have a headache, instead of taking an aspirin, you should try how to make a lavender lemonade to eliminate the headache. Not only can it help relieve the headache, but it can also help relieve stress, anxiety, and depression at the same time. It is a natural resource that has been used since ancient times

There are many lotions and creams in which lavender is a common ingredient. However, the explanation goes beyond the refreshing aroma of lemonade.

Some researchers have discovered in mice that some of the components of lavender's aroma produced anxiety effects similar to those of Valium.

Lavender has been shown to reduce stress and relieve chronic headaches. The natural oils of lavender have a direct influence on headaches by reducing stress and dehydration. Adding a few drops of lavender essential oil can help reduce stress.

Scientists claim that the scent of lavender relaxes the body, while having antifungal, antibacterial and detoxifying capabilities. This combination makes it a great complement to soaps and lotions.

Lavender essential oils are also consumed in small amounts to heal the body from the inside out, according to a report in Medical News Today magazine.

One drop of lavender essential oil is mixed with the juice of six lemons, half a cup of raw honey and about 10 cups of water to create a lavender lemonade. The mixture is heated in a pot and stirred until the honey melts into the mixture. Remove from heat and let cool in the refrigerator before eating.

It can also be used in case of fungal infections, to help digestive problems and to heal wounds.

Lavender lemonade is able to relieve stress and headache.

Ingredients

250ml (1 cup) water
30ml (2 tbsp) dried lavender or 125ml (1⁄2 cup) fresh lavender
1/2 cup (125 ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
1/2 cup (125 ml) sugar or 1/3 cup honey
1 liter (4 cups) of cold water
Lemon and lavender slices, to garnish.

Instructions

Step 1. To make the lavender tea, bring the water to a boil and then remove from the heat. Add the lavender and brew, with a lid on, for about 15 minutes in a saucepan or measuring cup.

Step 2. With a pitcher, pass the infusion through a strainer. Add the lemon juice and sugar, mix and add cold water.

Step 3. Refrigerate for 1 or 2 hours. It is served with lemon segments and lavender flowers.

Why are lemons and lavender the perfect mix when it comes to fighting headaches?

Lemonade, although known as a sweet summer-flavored drink, provides therapeutic benefits on its own due to its fruit components.

Lemon juice is a great source of many nutrients, from folate to vitamin C (the latter can be useful for migraines), and lemons also help the immune system.

Virtually everything that is done with citrus fruits is widely known in aromatherapy as an antidepressant and helps improve concentration.

With the addition of lavender, lemonade becomes a special resource for people suffering from stress. Lavender essential oil has been used for centuries as a calming aroma, and researchers have found evidence that the herb reduces anxiety, lowers pulse rate, and relaxes the entire body. Lavender oil is gentle and effective, and works as an anti-inflammatory, anti-depressant, detoxifier, and sedative.

Lavender lemonade (with the essence of the oil)
To make your own lavender lemonade, the preparation is very simple.  The following ingredients must be mixed:

1 cup of raw honey (or 3-4 cups of sugar)
12 cups of pure water
1 drop of lavender essential oil, available in health food stores
The juice of six lemons
Lavender sticks for decoration

When the ingredients are well integrated, place the lemonade in the refrigerator until it is completely cold. If you want your drink to be sweeter, add more honey or remove the sweetness with water.

If you are worried about ingesting essential oil, don't worry.  Although most essential oils are marked for external use, this is only a prevention as they are very strong.

The vast majority of essential oils are safe to consume in very small amounts, so do not consume more than one drop.

If you want something that specifically says it is food grade, LorAnn is a good choice (which it claims) and is excellent for savory dishes, baked goods, and chocolates.
